It is estimated that one in 10,000 people have Huntington's Disease
(HD).
Over 2500 people in Minnesota are affected or at risk
of developing
HD.
The Huntinton's Disease Society of America (HDSA) is
dedicated to finding a cure for Huntington's Disease while providing
support and services for those living with HD and their families.
HDSA promotes and supports both clinical and basic HD research, aids
families in coping with the multi-faceted problems presented by HD and
educates the families, the public and health care professional about
Huntington's Disease. Our HD families give a face to Huntington's
Disease; HDSA is its voice.
The
Minnesota Chapter is caring for the HD community
by providing a range of education and support to MN
families with HD. We are committed to improving the quality of
life for those with HD and their caregivers.
